>> Welcome

Welcome to Sportstat' sample Rugby Union 'Electronic Media Guide'.

With the British Lions fast approaching, the Sample Guide is based on what many believe to be the greatest Touring Team of all time - the 1971 British & Irish Lions. Captained by John Dawes and Coached by the legendary Carwyn James, the 1971 Lions became the first British team to win a test series in New Zealand. Blessed with some of the greatest backs ever to grace the field including Gareth Edwards, Barry John, Gerald Davies, JPR Williams, Mike Gibson and the unmistakeable 'Dai' Duckham, the Lions won the test series 2-1 with the final Test of the Tour being drawn 14 all.
